On April 2, 2011, I had the privilege of going to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. It was absolutely breathtaking when I first rolled in. My wheelchair made my adventure a little more difficult than it probably would be for anyone else.

To my amazement, a man that I have admired for the last nine years is buried at the New Cathedral, Cardinal John Glennon. Cardinal Glennon is, of course, the name sake of my hospital SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center.

I had to climb the stairs to get to the museum below. That was quite difficult to do, but well worth it. That is when I found the picture of Cardinl Glennon and learned so much about the history of the New Cathedral.

I hope to return on a regular basis to the New Cathedral. I imagine you see something new each time you go. Even though I was there for hours, I couldn't imagine I miss much.

If you have time, please go to the New Cathedral.
